For what purpose?
There are three types of use of your electricity production, we explain all :
- Autoconsommation avec vente du surplus : Cette solution qui est aujourd’hui la plus répandue, permet de produire et de consommer sa propre électricité. Le surplus non utilisé instantanément repart sur le réseau et est ainsi revendu à EDF ou aux ELD* afin d’obtenir un complément de revenu. Cette alternative vous permet de bénéficier de la prime à l’autoconsommation versé par l’état pour les installations n’excédant pas 100 kWc.
- Total self-consumption: Another possibility, the total self-consumption which consists, as its name indicates, in consuming the totality of the electricity produced. This solution does not necessarily imply to produce the totality of your consumption nor to become 100% independent of the network.
However, physical or virtual batteries exist to store the surplus not used during the day and thus relay your solar panels during the night. - Total resale: You also have the possibility of reselling the totality of your electric production to EDF or to the LDC*.
This solution which privileges the profitability is mainly used for the important installations (Hangar, farms, etc..) and must be carried out by a professional RGE in order to guarantee the purchase of the energy.

What happens if the network is cut ?
In the event of a power cut programmed by the state or because of a problem on the line, your photovoltaic modules will automatically stop working. The reason is simple, the fact of cutting the production of electricity of your panels removes the risk of electrocution for the people who work to manage the breakdown. It also avoids the risk of fire on your network.
Néanmoins, si vous possédez une installation munie d’une batterie qui à la fonction « black-out », alors votre installation pourra continuer de fonctionner.
